After completing a Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling in 2011, Rada worked as a counsellor/caseworker at JewishCare NSW in Family support and Domestic and Family Violence (DFV), for almost 12 years.
Rada is a registered clinical counsellor with PACFA and also Victim Services NSW. She is a group facilitator and runs men’s support groups, and parenting groups. Rada has extensive knowledge of parenting issues and how conflict impacts a couple’s relationship and their relationship with their children.
Rada believes that being the best person you can be whilst going through change is essential. Change (be it divorce, work, lifestyle, age -related, or physiological change), is a time in your life when high levels of stress, and heightened emotions, may negatively impact you and all your key relationships (as a partner, parent, employee and/or friend). Conflict, heightened emotions, and poor communication leads to relationship breakdowns.
Experience of trauma, family of origin and culture also impact relationships. Recognizing your own triggers and separating your issues (rather than projecting them onto others), changes the narrative and gives her clients new perspectives and tools to manage and regulate their emotions, and thus improve all relationships.
Rada’s style of work is supportive and empathetic. She is direct, open, and honest and will challenge her clients to make the necessary behavioral changes to repair or move forward in their relationships, and communicate in a healthier way. Rada works from a trauma informed framework and is child focused. She is also is very mindful of how culture, values, beliefs, patriarchal stereotypes, family of origin and trauma impacts relationships and has worked with many CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) clients.
